And He said, Take now your son, your only one, Isaac, whom you love. And go into the land of Moriah, and offer him there for a burnt offering upon one of the mountains which I will name to you.


As to the saints in the earth, they are the excellent, in whom is all my delight.


And when the Lord saw her, He had compassion on her and said to her, Do not weep.


And there was a certain sick one, Lazarus of Bethany, the town of Mary and her sister Martha.


He said these things; and after that He said to them, Our friend Lazarus sleeps. But I go so that I may awaken him out of sleep.


(And it was that Mary who anointed the Lord with ointment and wiped His feet with her hair, whose brother Lazarus was sick.)


Then Martha said to Jesus, Lord, if You had been here, my brother would not have died.


Then the Jews said, Behold how He loved him!


And Jesus loved Martha and her sister and Lazarus.
