And the messenger that had gone to call Micaiah spoke to him, saying, Behold now, the words of the prophets are good to the king with one mouth. Please let your word be like the word of one of them, and speak good.


And the king of Israel gathered the prophets, about four hundred men, and said to them, Shall I go against Ramoth in Gilead to battle, or shall I hold back? And they said, Go up! For Jehovah shall deliver it into the hand of the king.


Where now are your prophets who prophesied to you, saying, The king of Babylon shall not come against you nor against this land?


The prophets prophesy falsely, and the priests bear rule by their means; and my people love to have it so, and what will you do at the end of it?


Oh that I had in the wilderness a lodging place for traveling men, that I might leave my people and go away from them! For they are all adulterers, an assembly of treacherous men.


You have plowed wickedness; you have reaped iniquity; you have eaten the fruit of lies, because you trusted in your way, in the multitude of your mighty men.

They are of the world, therefore they speak of the world, and the world hears them.
