And Sanballat the Horonite, and Tobiah the servant, the Ammonite, heard. And it grieved them very much that there had come a man to seek the good of the sons of Israel.


But when the Jews saw the multitudes, they were filled with envy and contradicted those things which were spoken by Paul, contradicting and blaspheming.


And certain philosophers from the Epicureans and from the Stoics met him. And some said, What will this babbler say? And others said, He seems to be an announcer of foreign demons (because he preached Jesus and the resurrection to them).


And about that time there was not a little a stir about the Way.


unless it may be for this one voice that I cried out standing among them, that concerning a resurrection of the dead I am being judged by you today.

Why is it thought a thing incredible with you that God raises the dead?
