And the advice of Ahithophel, which he advised in those days, was as if a man had inquired at the oracle of God. So was all the advice of Ahithophel, both with David and with Absalom.


And I will come upon him while he is weary and weak-handed, and I will make him tremble. And all the people with him will flee. And I will strike the king by himself.


I will lie down, both in peace and in sleep. For You alone, Jehovah, make me dwell in safety.

For they do not sleep, except when they have done mischief; and their sleep is taken away unless they cause some to fall.
