And he said to his servants, See, Joab's field is near mine, and he has barley there. Go and set it on fire! And Absalom's servants set the field on fire.
And the king said to him, Go in peace. And he arose and went to Hebron.
And Absalom, whom we anointed over us, is dead in battle. And now why do you not speak a word about bringing the king back?
And it happened after this, David inquired of Jehovah, saying, Shall I go up into any of the cities of Judah? And Jehovah said to him, Go up! And David said, Where shall I go? And He said, To Hebron.
And it happened, the number of days that David was king in Hebron over the house of Judah was seven years and six months.
In Hebron he reigned over Judah seven years and six months, and in Jerusalem he reigned thirty-three years over all Israel and Judah.
