a light to lighten the Gentiles, and the glory of thy people Israel.


And the times of this ignorance God winked at; but now commandeth all men every where to repent:


having the understanding darkened, being alienated from the life of God through the ignorance that is in them, because of the blindness of their heart:


For ye were sometime darkness, but now are ye light in the Lord: walk as children of light;


For Christ is not entered into the holy places made with hands, which are the figures of the true; but into heaven itself, now to appear in the presence of God for us:
