Why standest thou afar off, O Lord? Why hidest thou thyself in times of trouble?


When thou saidst, Seek ye my face; my heart said unto thee, Thy face, Lord, will I seek.


This thou hast seen, O Lord: keep not silence: O Lord, be not far from me.


And Jethro, Moses' father-in-law, took a burnt offering and sacrifices for God: and Aaron came, and all the elders of Israel, to eat bread with Moses' father-in-law before God.


And Moses went out to meet his father-in-law, and did obeisance, and kissed him; and they asked each other of their welfare; and they came into the tent.


And the children of Israel stripped themselves of their ornaments by the mount Horeb.


And it came to pass, when Moses went out unto the tabernacle, that all the people rose up, and stood every man at his tent door, and looked after Moses, until he was gone into the tabernacle.


The Lord is far from the wicked: but he heareth the prayer of the righteous.


but your iniquities have separated between you and your God, and your sins have hid his face from you, that he will not hear.


Though they bring up their children, yet will I bereave them, that there shall not be a man left: yea, woe also to them when I depart from them!


But if from thence thou shalt seek the Lord thy God, thou shalt find him, if thou seek him with all thy heart and with all thy soul.
