neither give place to the devil.
Leave no [such] room or foothold for the devil [give no opportunity to him].
Don’t provide an opportunity for the devil.

But Peter said, Anani´as, why hath Satan filled thine heart to lie to the Holy Ghost, and to keep back part of the price of the land?
Dearly beloved, avenge not yourselves, but rather give place unto wrath: for it is written, Vengeance is mine; I will repay, saith the Lord.

above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked.
