as the dew of Hermon, and as the dew that descended upon the mountains of Zion: for there the Lord commanded the blessing, even life for evermore.


From Aro´er, which is by the brink of the river of Arnon, and from the city that is by the river, even unto Gil´e-ad, there was not one city too strong for us: the Lord our God delivered all unto us:


And this land, which we possessed at that time, from Aro´er, which is by the river Arnon, and half mount Gil´e-ad, and the cities thereof, gave I unto the Reubenites and to the Gadites.


And we took at that time out of the hand of the two kings of the Amorites the land that was on this side Jordan, from the river of Arnon unto mount Hermon;


(which Hermon the Sido´nians call Sir´i-on; and the Amorites call it Shenir;)


and all the plain on this side Jordan eastward, even unto the sea of the plain, under the springs of Pisgah.
