For I will take away the rejoicing of her great multitude, and her pride shall be turned into mourning.

I’ll strip away the pride she has in her great population, and turn her arrogance into grief.

and the exaltation of her multitude will be cut off, and her gladness will be turned to sorrow.

And the joy of her multitude shall be cut off: and her gladness shall be turned to mourning.

I will turn her proud boastings into mourning and take away her large population in which she took pride.

And I will take away her pride in her great multitude and her boasting will be turned into mourning.

God will turn her pride into mourning, and she will no longer be proud of her great people.
