and marched toward Beth–zur, which was a stronghold of the Jews: but he was put to flight, failed, and lost of his men:

He moved against a well-protected watch-post of the Jews at Beth-zur, but he was pushed back. He struck again, but this time he was defeated.

And so, he moved his camp to Bethzur, which was a fortified garrison of the Jews. But as he struck, he was put to flight and reduced in number.

And he marched with his army to Bethsura, which was a strong hold of the Jews: but he was repulsed, he failed, he rest his men.

He attacked the strong Jewish fort of Bethzur, but was repeatedly beaten back and finally defeated.

and on a strong fortress of the Jews at Bethsura. He advanced, was turned back, failed, and was defeated.

His troops surrounded and attacked their strong fortress at Beth-Zur, but they were turned back and defeated.
