And he cried against the altar in the word of the Lord, and said, O altar, altar, thus saith the Lord; Behold, a child shall be born unto the house of David, Josi´ah by name; and upon thee shall he offer the priests of the high places that burn incense upon thee, and men's bones shall be burnt upon thee.


And the king sent, and they gathered unto him all the elders of Judah and of Jerusalem.


Jo´ash was seven years old when he began to reign, and he reigned forty years in Jerusalem. His mother's name also was Zibi´ah of Beer–sheba.


Then all the people of Judah took Uzzi´ah, who was sixteen years old, and made him king in the room of his father Amazi´ah.


Manas´seh was twelve years old when he began to reign, and he reigned fifty and five years in Jerusalem:


But the people of the land slew all them that had conspired against king Amon; and the people of the land made Josi´ah his son king in his stead.


Better is a poor and a wise child, than an old and foolish king, who will no more be admonished.


to whom the word of the Lord came in the days of Josi´ah the son of Amon king of Judah, in the thirteenth year of his reign.
