And Ahaz slept with his fathers, and was buried with his fathers in the city of David: and Hezeki´ah his son reigned in his stead.


Now it came to pass in the third year of Hoshe´a son of Elah king of Israel, that Hezeki´ah the son of Ahaz king of Judah began to reign.


And he had brethren the sons of Jehosh´aphat, Azari´ah, and Jehi´el, and Zechari´ah, and Azari´ah, and Michael, and Shephati´ah: all these were the sons of Jehosh´aphat king of Israel.


Thirty and two years old was he when he began to reign, and he reigned in Jerusalem eight years, and departed without being desired. Howbeit they buried him in the city of David, but not in the sepulchres of the kings.


And when they were departed from him, (for they left him in great diseases,) his own servants conspired against him for the blood of the sons of Jehoi´ada the priest, and slew him on his bed, and he died: and they buried him in the city of David, but they buried him not in the sepulchres of the kings.


So Uzzi´ah slept with his fathers, and they buried him with his fathers in the field of the burial which belonged to the kings; for they said, He is a leper: and Jotham his son reigned in his stead.


Hezeki´ah began to reign when he was five and twenty years old, and he reigned nine and twenty years in Jerusalem. And his mother's name was Abi´jah, the daughter of Zechari´ah.


So Manas´seh slept with his fathers, and they buried him in his own house: and Amon his son reigned in his stead.


The memory of the just is blessed: but the name of the wicked shall rot.


In the year that king Ahaz died was this burden.


Wherefore the Lord God of Israel saith, I said indeed that thy house, and the house of thy father, should walk before me for ever: but now the Lord saith, Be it far from me; for them that honor me I will honor, and they that despise me shall be lightly esteemed.
