and they buried him; and all Israel mourned for him, according to the word of the Lord, which he spake by the hand of his servant Ahi´jah the prophet.


And when he humbled himself, the wrath of the Lord turned from him, that he would not destroy him altogether: and also in Judah things went well.


Nevertheless, there are good things found in thee, in that thou hast taken away the groves out of the land, and hast prepared thine heart to seek God.


But ye should say, Why persecute we him, seeing the root of the matter is found in me?


Weep ye not for the dead, neither bemoan him; but weep sore for him that goeth away: for he shall return no more, nor see his native country.


Therefore thus saith the Lord concerning Jehoi´akim the son of Josi´ah king of Judah; They shall not lament for him, saying, Ah my brother! or, Ah sister! they shall not lament for him, saying, Ah lord! or, Ah his glory!


And when all the congregation saw that Aaron was dead, they mourned for Aaron thirty days, even all the house of Israel.
