When To´i king of Hamath heard that David had smitten all the host of Hadade´zer,


he sent Hador´am his son to king David, to inquire of his welfare, and to congratulate him, because he had fought against Hadare´zer, and smitten him; (for Hadare´zer had war with To´u;) and with him all manner of vessels of gold and silver and brass.


Likewise from Tibhath, and from Chun, cities of Hadare´zer, brought David very much brass, wherewith Solomon made the brazen sea, and the pillars, and the vessels of brass.


And when the children of Ammon saw that they had made themselves odious to David, Hanun and the children of Ammon sent a thousand talents of silver to hire them chariots and horsemen out of Mesopota´mi-a and out of Syria–ma´achah, and out of Zobah.
