Thus did Noah according to all that God commanded him, so did he.


And David did so, as the Lord had commanded him; and smote the Philistines from Geba until thou come to Gazer.


And it shall be, when thou shalt hear a sound of going in the tops of the mulberry trees, that then thou shalt go out to battle: for God is gone forth before thee to smite the host of the Philistines.


And the fame of David went out into all lands; and the Lord brought the fear of him upon all nations.


And it came to pass after this, that there arose war at Gezer with the Philistines; at which time Sib´bechai the Hu´shathite slew Sip´pai, that was of the children of the giant: and they were subdued.


And they gave unto them, of the cities of refuge, Shechem in mount E´phra-im with her suburbs; they gave also Gezer with her suburbs,


For the Lord shall rise up as in mount Per´azim, he shall be wroth as in the valley of Gibeon, that he may do his work, his strange work; and bring to pass his act, his strange act.


If ye know these things, happy are ye if ye do them.


Ye are my friends, if ye do whatsoever I command you.


His mother saith unto the servants, Whatsoever he saith unto you, do it.


And they drave not out the Canaanites that dwelt in Gezer: but the Canaanites dwell among the E´phra-imites unto this day, and serve under tribute.
