Psalm 71:1

He trusted in the Lord God of Israel; so that after him was none like him among all the kings of Judah, nor any that were before him.


And they were helped against them, and the Ha´garites were delivered into their hand, and all that were with them: for they cried to God in the battle, and he was entreated of them; because they put their trust in him.


They that trust in the Lord shall be as mount Zion, which cannot be removed, but abideth for ever.


Happy is he that hath the God of Jacob for his help, whose hope is in the Lord his God:


They cried unto thee, and were delivered: they trusted in thee, and were not confounded.


But Israel shall be saved in the Lord with an everlasting salvation: ye shall not be ashamed nor confounded world without end.


Let them be confounded that persecute me, but let not me be confounded: let them be dismayed, but let not me be dismayed: bring upon them the day of evil, and destroy them with double destruction.


as it is written, Behold, I lay in Zion a stumbling-stone and rock of offense: and whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed.


Wherefore also it is contained in the Scripture, Behold, I lay in Zion a chief corner stone, elect, precious: and he that believeth on him shall not be confounded.
