And Israel said unto Joseph, I had not thought to see thy face: and, lo, God hath showed me also thy seed.


And Joseph saw E´phra-im's children of the third generation: the children also of Machir the son of Manas´seh were brought up upon Joseph's knees.


Notwithstanding, in thy days I will not do it for David thy father's sake: but I will rend it out of the hand of thy son.


Nevertheless for David's sake did the Lord his God give him a lamp in Jerusalem, to set up his son after him, and to establish Jerusalem:


Honor thy father and thy mother: that thy days may be long upon the land which the Lord thy God giveth thee.


A good man leaveth an inheritance to his children's children: and the wealth of the sinner is laid up for the just.


The hoary head is a crown of glory, if it be found in the way of righteousness.


A son honoreth his father, and a servant his master: if then I be a father, where is mine honor? and if I be a master, where is my fear? saith the Lord of hosts unto you, O priests, that despise my name. And ye say, Wherein have we despised thy name?
