Now the sons of Reuben the firstborn of Israel, (for he was the firstborn; but, forasmuch as he defiled his father's bed, his birthright was given unto the sons of Joseph the son of Israel: and the genealogy is not to be reckoned after the birthright.


And these are the names of the men that shall stand with you: of the tribe of Reuben; Eli´zur the son of Shede´ur.


And the standard of the camp of Reuben set forward according to their armies: and over his host was Eli´zur the son of Shede´ur.


When ye blow an alarm the second time, then the camps that lie on the south side shall take their journey: they shall blow an alarm for their journeys.


And his host, and those that were numbered thereof, were forty and six thousand and five hundred.


On the fourth day Eli´zur the son of Shede´ur, prince of the children of Reuben, did offer:


and for a sacrifice of peace offerings, two oxen, five rams, five he goats, five lambs of the first year: this was the offering of Eli´zur the son of Shede´ur.
