therefore, behold, I will open the side of Moab from the cities, from his cities which are on his frontiers, the glory of the country, Beth–jesh´imoth, Ba´al–me´on, and Kiri-atha´im,


And Israel joined himself unto Ba´al–pe´or: and the anger of the Lord was kindled against Israel.


And they pitched by Jordan, from Beth–jesh´imoth even unto A´bel–shit´tim in the plains of Moab.


the plain also, and Jordan, and the coast thereof, from Chin´nereth even unto the sea of the plain, even the salt sea, under Ash´doth–pis´gah eastward.


on this side Jordan, in the valley over against Beth–pe´or, in the land of Sihon king of the Amorites, who dwelt at Heshbon, whom Moses and the children of Israel smote, after they were come forth out of Egypt:


and from the plain to the sea of Chin´neroth on the east, and unto the sea of the plain, even the salt sea on the east, the way to Beth–jesh´imoth; and from the south, under Ash´doth–pis´gah:


and Kirjatha´im, and Sibmah, and Za´reth–sha´har in the mount of the valley,


and all the cities of the plain, and all the kingdom of Sihon king of the Amorites, which reigned in Heshbon, whom Moses smote with the princes of Mid´i-an, Evi, and Rekem, and Zur, and Hur, and Reba, which were dukes of Sihon, dwelling in the country.
