And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper.


Because he hath set his love upon me, therefore will I deliver him: I will set him on high, because he hath known my name.


unto whom the prince of the eunuchs gave names: for he gave unto Daniel the name of Belteshaz´zar; and to Hanani´ah, of Shadrach; and to Mish´a-el, of Meshach; and to Azari´ah, of Abed´nego.


Then Daniel requested of the king, and he set Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed´nego, over the affairs of the province of Babylon: but Daniel sat in the gate of the king.


Nebuchadnez´zar the king made an image of gold, whose height was threescore cubits, and the breadth thereof six cubits: he set it up in the plain of Dura, in the province of Babylon.


There are certain Jews whom thou hast set over the affairs of the province of Babylon, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed´nego; these men, O king, have not regarded thee: they serve not thy gods, nor worship the golden image which thou hast set up.


If any man serve me, let him follow me; and where I am, there shall also my servant be: if any man serve me, him will my Father honor.


What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us?


Wherefore the Lord God of Israel saith, I said indeed that thy house, and the house of thy father, should walk before me for ever: but now the Lord saith, Be it far from me; for them that honor me I will honor, and they that despise me shall be lightly esteemed.
