Thus did Noah according to all that God commanded him, so did he.


And Gad came that day to David, and said unto him, Go up, rear an altar unto the Lord in the threshingfloor of Arau´nah the Jeb´usite.


And Arau´nah looked, and saw the king and his servants coming on toward him: and Arau´nah went out, and bowed himself before the king on his face upon the ground.


And David went up at the saying of Gad, which he spake in the name of the Lord.


And they rose early in the morning, and went forth into the wilderness of Teko´a: and as they went forth, Jehosh´aphat stood and said, Hear me, O Judah, and ye inhabitants of Jerusalem; Believe in the Lord your God, so shall ye be established; believe his prophets, so shall ye prosper.


but they mocked the messengers of God, and despised his words, and misused his prophets, until the wrath of the Lord arose against his people, till there was no remedy.


Nevertheless they were disobedient, and rebelled against thee, and cast thy law behind their backs, and slew thy prophets which testified against them to turn them to thee, and they wrought great provocations.
