Nevertheless for David's sake did the Lord his God give him a lamp in Jerusalem, to set up his son after him, and to establish Jerusalem:
In those days the Lord began to send against Judah Rezin the king of Syria, and Pekah the son of Remali´ah.
Therefore the Lord himself shall give you a sign; Behold, a virgin shall conceive, and bear a son, and shall call his name Imman´u-el.
Forasmuch as this people refuseth the waters of Shilo´ah that go softly, and rejoice in Rezin and Remali´ah's son;
before thy wickedness was discovered, as at the time of thy reproach of the daughters of Syria, and all that are round about her, the daughters of the Philistines, which despise thee round about.
