He built Elath, and restored it to Judah, after that the king slept with his fathers.


At that time Rezin king of Syria recovered Elath to Syria, and drave the Jews from Elath: and the Syrians came to Elath, and dwelt there unto this day.


And Jo´ash the king of Israel took Amazi´ah king of Judah, the son of Jo´ash, the son of Jeho´ahaz, at Beth–she´mesh, and brought him to Jerusalem, and brake down the wall of Jerusalem from the gate of E´phra-im to the corner gate, four hundred cubits.


And they brought him upon horses, and buried him with his fathers in the city of Judah.


Then all the people of Judah took Uzzi´ah, who was sixteen years old, and made him king in the room of his father Amazi´ah.


Sixteen years old was Uzzi´ah when he began to reign, and he reigned fifty and two years in Jerusalem. His mother's name also was Jecoli´ah of Jerusalem.


Then went Solomon to E´zi-on–ge´ber, and to Eloth, at the sea side in the land of Edom.
