And it came to pass at that time, that Abim´elech and Phichol the chief captain of his host spake unto Abraham, saying, God is with thee in all that thou doest:


now therefore swear unto me here by God, that thou wilt not deal falsely with me, nor with my son, nor with my son's son: but according to the kindness that I have done unto thee, thou shalt do unto me, and to the land wherein thou hast sojourned.


let seven men of his sons be delivered unto us, and we will hang them up unto the Lord in Gib´e-ah of Saul, whom the Lord did choose. And the king said, I will give them.


But the king spared Mephib´osheth, the son of Jonathan the son of Saul, because of the Lord's oath that was between them, between David and Jonathan the son of Saul.


But Jesus did not commit himself unto them, because he knew all men,


And David went up from thence, and dwelt in strongholds at En–ge´di.


Then Saul said to David, Blessed be thou, my son David: thou shalt both do great things, and also shalt still prevail. So David went on his way, and Saul returned to his place.
