And the king said unto him, How many times shall I adjure thee that thou tell me nothing but that which is true in the name of the Lord?
Then Jeremiah the prophet spake all these words unto Zedeki´ah king of Judah in Jerusalem,
Now therefore stand still, that I may reason with you before the Lord of all the righteous acts of the Lord, which he did to you and to your fathers.
And Saul said, They have brought them from the Amal´ekites: for the people spared the best of the sheep and of the oxen, to sacrifice unto the Lord thy God; and the rest we have utterly destroyed.
And Samuel said, When thou wast little in thine own sight, wast thou not made the head of the tribes of Israel, and the Lord anointed thee king over Israel?
And as they were going down to the end of the city, Samuel said to Saul, Bid the servant pass on before us, (and he passed on,) but stand thou still a while, that I may show thee the word of God.
