For it increases. You hunt me as a fierce lion: and again you show yourself awesome against me.


For the arrows of the Almighty are within me, the poison thereof drinks up my spirit: the terrors of God do set themselves in array against me.


Because of your indignation and your wrath: for you have lifted me up, and cast me down.


For day and night your hand was heavy upon me: my strength is turned into the drought of summer. Selah.


[A Psalm of David. To bring to remembrance.] O LORD, rebuke me not in your wrath: neither chasten me in your hot displeasure.


Deep calls unto deep at the noise of your waterfalls: all your waves and your billows are gone over me.


I am weary from my crying: my throat is dried: my eyes fail while I wait for my God.


For we are consumed by your anger, and by your wrath are we troubled.


For you had cast me into the deep, in the midst of the seas; and the floods surrounded me: all your billows and your waves passed over me.


Then I said, I am cast out of your sight; yet I will look again toward your holy temple.
