It is as high as heaven; what can you do? deeper than Sheol; what can you know?


If I ascend up into heaven, you are there: if I make my bed in Sheol, behold, you are there.


But God will redeem my soul from the power of the grave: for he shall receive me. Selah.


The wicked shall be turned into sheol, and all the nations that forget God.


Sheol and destruction are before the LORD: how much more then the hearts of the children of men?


Sheol and destruction are never full; so the eyes of man are never satisfied.


Sheol from beneath is excited for you to meet you at your coming: it stirs up the dead for you, even all the chief ones of the earth; it has raised up from their thrones all the kings of the nations.


Therefore sheol has enlarged itself, and opened its mouth without measure: and their glory, and their multitude, and their pomp, and he that exults, shall descend into it.


Seventy weeks are determined upon your people and upon your holy city, to finish the transgression, and to make an end of sins, and to make reconciliation for iniquity, and to bring in everlasting righteousness, and to seal up the vision and prophecy, and to anoint the most Holy.


You shall not make any cuttings in your flesh for the dead, nor tattoo any marks upon you: I am the LORD.


Though they dig into sheol, there shall my hand take them; though they climb up to heaven, there will I bring them down:


All the days that he separates himself unto the LORD he shall go near no dead body.


And the angel answered and said unto her, The Holy Spirit shall come upon you, and the power of the Highest shall overshadow you: therefore also that holy thing which shall be born of you shall be called the Son of God.


And in hades he lifted up his eyes, being in torment, and seeing Abraham far off, and Lazarus in his bosom.


Saying, Let us alone; what have we to do with you, you Jesus of Nazareth? are you come to destroy us? I know who you are; the Holy One of God.


So also is the resurrection of the dead. It is sown in corruption; it is raised in incorruption:


For a fire is kindled in my anger, and shall burn unto the lowest hell, and shall consume the earth with its increase, and set on fire the foundations of the mountains.


I am he that lives, and was dead; and, behold, I am alive forevermore, Amen; and have the keys of hades and of death.


And the sea gave up the dead who were in it; and death and hades delivered up the dead who were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works.
