The wicked is snared by the transgression of his lips: but the just shall escape from trouble.


A fool's mouth is his destruction, and his lips are the snare of his soul.


My son, if you become surety for your friend, if you have struck your hand with a stranger,


Do this now, my son, and deliver yourself, when you have come into the hand of your friend; go, humble yourself, and plead with your friend.


The graven images of their gods shall you burn with fire: you shall not desire the silver or gold that is on them, nor take it unto you, lest you be snared by it: for it is an abomination to the LORD your God.
