Now if Timothy comes, see that he may be with you without fear: for he works the work of the Lord, as I also do.
For this cause have I sent unto you Timothy, who is my beloved son, and faithful in the Lord, who shall bring you into remembrance of my ways which are in Christ, as I teach everywhere in every church.
For to this end also did I write, that I might know the proof of you, whether you be obedient in all things.
And we have sent with them our brother, whom we have oftentimes proved diligent in many things, but now much more diligent, upon the great confidence which I have in you.
Therefore show to them, and before the churches, the proof of your love, and of our boasting on your behalf.
I speak not by commandment, but to prove by the earnestness of others, the sincerity of your love.
