And the LORD smelled a sweet odor; and the LORD said in his heart, I will not again curse the ground any more for man's sake; for the imagination of man's heart is evil from his youth; neither will I again smite any more everything living, as I have done.
And said unto them, You shall not bring in the captives here: for since we have offended against the LORD already, you intend to add more to our sins and to our trespass: for our trespass is great, and there is fierce wrath against Israel.

For if you turn away from following him, he will yet again leave them in the wilderness; and you shall destroy all this people.
Truly you bear witness that you consent to the deeds of your fathers: for they indeed killed them, and you build their sepulchers.
You have been rebellious against the LORD from the day that I knew you.
