God sets the solitary in families: he brings out those who are bound with chains: but the rebellious dwell in a dry land.


Yea, they spoke against God; they said, Can God furnish a table in the wilderness?


And they said unto Moses, Because there were no graves in Egypt, have you taken us away to die in the wilderness? why have you dealt thus with us, to carry us forth out of Egypt?


And the people murmured against Moses, saying, What shall we drink?


And when the children of Israel saw it, they said one to another, It is manna: for they knew not what it was. And Moses said unto them, This is the bread which the LORD has given you to eat.


And the house of Israel called the name of it Manna: and it was like coriander seed, white; and the taste of it was like wafers made with honey.


The full soul loathes a honeycomb; but to the hungry soul every bitter thing is sweet.


Yet the children rebelled against me: they walked not in my statutes, neither kept my judgments to do them, which if a man do, he shall even live by them; they polluted my sabbaths: then I said, I would pour out my fury upon them, to accomplish my anger against them in the wilderness.


But even a whole month, until it comes out at your nostrils, and it becomes loathsome unto you: because that you have despised the LORD who is among you, and have wept before him, saying, Why came we forth out of Egypt?


But the next day all the congregation of the children of Israel murmured against Moses and against Aaron, saying, You have killed the people of the LORD.


And the children of Israel spoke unto Moses, saying, Behold, we die, we perish, we all perish.


Neither let us test Christ, as some of them also tested him, and were destroyed by serpents.
