Before I was afflicted I went astray: but now have I kept your word.


It is good for me that I have been afflicted; that I might learn your statutes.


The LORD is gracious, and full of compassion; slow to anger, and of great mercy.


And Jesus went forth, and saw a great multitude, and was moved with compassion toward them, and he healed their sick.


Then Jesus called his disciples unto him, and said, I have compassion on the multitude, because they continue with me now three days, and have nothing to eat: and I will not send them away without food, lest they faint in the way.


They said unto him, Lord, that our eyes may be opened.


And when they drew near unto Jerusalem, and came to Bethphage, unto the mount of Olives, then sent Jesus two disciples,


And he touched her hand, and the fever left her: and she arose, and ministered unto them.


Then touched he their eyes, saying, According to your faith be it unto you.


But when he saw the multitudes, he was moved with compassion on them, because they fainted, and were scattered abroad, as sheep having no shepherd.


And he took him aside from the multitude, and put his fingers into his ears, and he spit, and touched his tongue;


And immediately he received his sight, and followed him, glorifying God: and all the people, when they saw it, gave praise unto God.


And Jesus answered and said, No more of this. And he touched his ear, and healed him.


And when the Lord saw her, he had compassion on her, and said unto her, Weep not.


To open their eyes, and to turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan unto God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins, and inheritance among them who are sanctified by faith that is in me.


Therefore in all things he had to be made like unto his brethren, that he might be a merciful and faithful high priest in things pertaining to God, to make reconciliation for the sins of the people.


Finally, be all of one mind, having compassion one with another, love as brethren, be tender hearted, be courteous:
