Know you not this of old, since man was placed upon the earth,


For since the beginning of the world men have not heard, nor perceived by the ear, neither has the eye seen, O God, besides you, what he has prepared for him that waits for him.


As he spoke by the mouth of his holy prophets, who have been since the world began:


Others said, These are not the words of him that has a demon. Can a demon open the eyes of the blind?


Now we know that God hears not sinners: but if any man be a worshiper of God, and does his will, him he hears.


If this man were not of God, he could do nothing.


And there were voices, and thunders, and lightnings; and there was a great earthquake, such as was not since men were upon the earth, so mighty an earthquake, and so great.
