In that same hour said Jesus to the multitudes, Are you come out as against a thief with swords and clubs to take me? I sat daily with you teaching in the temple, and you laid no hold on me.
And the chief priests took the silver pieces, and said, It is not lawful to put them into the treasury, because it is the price of blood.
And Jesus sat opposite the treasury, and beheld how the people cast money into the treasury: and many that were rich cast in much.
And he called unto him his disciples, and said unto them, Verily I say unto you, That this poor widow has cast more in, than all they who have cast into the treasury:
And the chief priests and the scribes the same hour sought to lay hands on him; and they feared the people: for they perceived that he had spoken this parable against them.
And he looked up, and saw the rich men casting their gifts into the treasury.
Therefore they sought again to take him: but he escaped out of their hand,
Jesus said unto her, Woman, what have I to do with you? my hour has not yet come.
Now about the middle of the feast Jesus went up into the temple, and taught.
Then they sought to take him: but no man laid hands on him, because his hour was not yet come.
Go you up unto this feast: I go not up yet unto this feast: for my time is not yet fully come.
And early in the morning he came again into the temple, and all the people came unto him; and he sat down, and taught them.
Then took they up stones to cast at him: but Jesus hid himself, and went out of the temple, going through the midst of them, and so passed by.
