But he went out, and began to proclaim it much, and to spread abroad the matter, so that Jesus could no more openly enter into the city, but was outside in desert places: and they came to him from every quarter.


And this is the record of John, when the Jews sent priests and Levites from Jerusalem to ask him, Who are you?


Come, see a man, who told me all things that ever I did: is not this the Christ?


The Jews therefore said unto him that was cured, It is the sabbath day: it is not lawful for you to carry your bed.


Then asked they him, What man is that who said unto you, Take up your bed, and walk?


And therefore did the Jews persecute Jesus, and sought to slay him, because he had done these things on the sabbath day.


Therefore the Jews sought the more to kill him, because he not only had broken the sabbath, but said also that God was his Father, making himself equal with God.


Then again the Pharisees asked him how he had received his sight. He said unto them, He put clay upon my eyes, and I washed, and do see.


He answered and said, Whether he be a sinner or not, I know not: one thing I know, that, though I was blind, now I see.


The man answered and said unto them, Why, in this is a marvelous thing, that you know not from where he is, and yet he has opened my eyes.


They answered and said unto him, You were altogether born in sins, and do you teach us? And they cast him out.
