A fruitful land into barrenness, for the wickedness of them that dwell therein.
And, lo, it was all grown over with thorns, and weeds had covered its face, and its stone wall was broken down.
And it shall come to pass in that day, that the Lord shall set his hand again the second time to recover the remnant of his people, who shall be left, from Assyria, and from Egypt, and from Pathros, and from Cush, and from Elam, and from Shinar, and from Hamath, and from the coastlands of the sea.

For I will punish them that dwell in the land of Egypt, as I have punished Jerusalem, by the sword, by the famine, and by the pestilence:
Declare you in Egypt, and publish in Migdol, and publish in Memphis and in Tahpanhes: say you, Stand fast, and prepare you; for the sword shall devour all around you.
O you daughter dwelling in Egypt, prepare yourself to go into captivity: for Memphis shall become a waste and desolate without an inhabitant.
Thus says the Lord GOD; I will also destroy the idols, and I will cause their images to cease out of Memphis; and there shall be no more a prince of the land of Egypt: and I will put a fear in the land of Egypt.
And I will set fire in Egypt: Sin shall have great pain, and No shall be torn asunder, and Memphis shall have distresses daily.
