Then David gave to Solomon his son the plans of the vestibule, and of its houses, and of its treasuries, and of its upper chambers, and of its inner chambers, and of the place for the mercy seat,


All this, said David, the LORD made me understand in writing by his hand upon me, even all the works of this plan.


And see that you make them after their pattern, which was shown you on the mount.


According to all that I show you, after the pattern of the tabernacle, and the pattern of all the furnishings of it, even so shall you make it.


But in vain they do worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men.


Our fathers had the tabernacle of witness in the wilderness, as he had appointed, speaking unto Moses, that he should make it according to the fashion that he had seen.


Who serve unto the example and shadow of heavenly things, as Moses was admonished of God when he was about to make the tabernacle: for, See, says he, that you make all things according to the pattern showed to you in the mount.
