God is not a man, that he should lie; neither the son of man, that he should repent: has he said, and shall he not do it? or has he spoken, and shall he not make it good?
For what if some did not believe? shall their unbelief make the faithfulness of God without effect?
Not as though the word of God has taken no effect. For they are not all Israel, who are of Israel:
God is faithful, by whom you were called unto the fellowship of his Son Jesus Christ our Lord.
Know therefore that the LORD your God, he is God, the faithful God, who keeps covenant and mercy with them that love him and keep his commandments to a thousand generations;
