[A prayer of David.] Hear the right, O LORD, attend unto my cry, give ear unto my prayer, that goes not out of feigned lips.
As soon as they hear of me, they shall obey me: the foreigners shall submit themselves unto me.

But, beloved, we are persuaded better things of you, and things that accompany salvation, though we thus speak.
Seeing you have purified your souls in obeying the truth through the Spirit unto sincere love of the brethren, see that you love one another with a pure heart fervently:
