And it came to pass, when Zimri saw that the city was taken, that he went into the palace of the king’s house, and burned the king’s house over him with fire, and he died,


And when his armorbearer saw that Saul was dead, he fell likewise on his sword, and died.


Then he called hastily unto the young man his armorbearer, and said unto him, Draw your sword, and slay me, that men say not of me, A woman slew him. And his young man thrust him through, and he died.


Then said Saul unto his armorbearer, Draw your sword, and thrust me through with it; lest these uncircumcised come and thrust me through, and abuse me. But his armorbearer would not; for he was greatly afraid. Therefore Saul took a sword, and fell upon it.


So Saul died, and his three sons, and his armorbearer, and all his men, that same day together.
