These be the heads of their fathers' houses: The sons of Reuven the firstborn of Yisrael; Hanoch, and Pallu, Hezron, and Karmi: these be the families of Reuven.
And Eleazar Aharon's son took him one of the daughters of Putiel to wife; and she bare him Pinchas: these are the heads of the fathers of the Lvim according to their families.
And YY spake unto Moshe in the plains of Moab by Yarden near Yericho, saying,
And the cities which ye shall give shall be of the possession of the children of Yisrael: from them that have many ye shall give many; but from them that have few ye shall give few: every one shall give of his cities unto the Lvim according to his inheritance which he inheriteth.
And these are the countries which the children of Yisrael inherited in the land of Kenaan, which Eleazar the kohen, and Y'howshu`a the son of Nun, and the heads of the fathers of the tribes of the children of Yisrael, distributed for inheritance to them.
And they came near before Eleazar the kohen, and before Y'howshu`a the son of Nun, and before the princes, saying, YY Commanded Moshe to give us an inheritance among our brethren. Therefore according to The Commandment of YY he gave them an inheritance among the brethren of their father.
These are the inheritances, which Eleazar the kohen, and Y'howshu`a the son of Nun, and the heads of the fathers of the tribes of the children of Yisrael, divided for an inheritance by lot in Shiloh before YY , at the door of the tabernacle of the congregation. So they made an end of dividing the country.
