Then King Josiah gave a command to all the people. He said, “Celebrate the Passover for the Lord your God. Do this just as it is written in the Book of the Agreement.”


King Josiah celebrated the Passover to the Lord in Jerusalem. The Passover lamb was killed on the 14th day of the first month.


On the fourteenth day of the first month, the Jews who came back from captivity celebrated the Passover.


The Lord’s Passover is on the 14th day of the first month just before dark.


“The Lord’s Passover will be on the 14th day of the first month.


They must eat the Passover meal just before dark on the 14th day of this month. They must do this at the chosen time, and they must follow all the rules about Passover.”


It was now the first day of the Festival of Unleavened Bread—the day the lambs were killed for the Passover. Jesus’ followers came to him and said, “We will go and prepare everything for you to eat the Passover meal. Where do you want us to have the meal?”


The Day of Unleavened Bread came. This was the day when the Jews always killed the lambs for the Passover.


The Israelites celebrated Passover while they were camped at Gilgal on the plains of Jericho. This was on the evening of the 14th day of the month.
