to those who are faithful to his agreement and who remember to obey his commands.


“Tell all the Israelites: I am the Lord your God. I am holy, so you must be holy.


“Remember my commands, and obey them. I am the Lord.


I am the Lord your God. I am the one who brought you out of Egypt. I did this to be your God. I am the Lord your God.”


So I beg you, brothers and sisters, because of the great mercy God has shown us, offer your lives as a living sacrifice to him—an offering that is only for God and pleasing to him. Considering what he has done, it is only right that you should worship him in this way.


In Christ, he chose us before the world was made. He chose us in love to be his holy people—people who could stand before him without any fault.


To the holy and faithful brothers and sisters in Christ who live in Colossae. Grace and peace to you from God our Father.


God chose us to be holy. He does not want us to live in sin.
