You, even you, are to be feared. Who can stand in your sight when you are angry?


The sinners in Tziyon are afraid. Trembling has seized the godless ones. Who among us can live with the devouring fire? Who among us can live with everlasting burning?


*'If you in spite of these things will not listen to me, then I will chastise you seven times more for your sins.


*'If you walk contrary to me, and won't listen to me, then I will bring seven times more plagues on you according to your sins.


then I will also walk contrary to you; and I will strike you, even I, seven times for your sins.


then I will walk contrary to you in wrath; and I also will chastise you seven times for your sins.


Who can stand before his indignation? Who can endure the fierceness of his anger? His wrath is poured out like fire, and the rocks are broken apart by him.


But I will warn you whom you should fear. Fear him, who after he has killed, has power to cast into Gehinnom. Yes, I tell you, fear him.


Knowing therefore the fear of the Lord, we persuade men, but we are revealed to God; and I hope that we are revealed also in your consciences.
