It will happen, when I bring a cloud over the earth, that the rainbow will be seen in the cloud,


who gives rain on the earth, and sends waters on the fields;


Praise the LORD! Praise the name of the LORD! Praise him, you servants of the LORD,


The hay is removed, and the new growth appears, the grasses of the hills are gathered in.


I will lay it a wasteland. It won't be pruned nor hoed, but it will grow briers and thorns. I will also command the clouds that they rain no rain on it.*


Are there any among the vanities of the nations that can cause rain? or can the sky give showers? Aren't you he, the LORD our God? therefore we will wait for you; for you have made all these things.


*Be glad then, you children of Tziyon, and rejoice in the LORD, your God; for he gives you the former rain in just measure, and he causes the rain to come down for you, the former rain and the latter rain, as before.


that you may be children of your Father who is in heaven. For he makes his sun to rise on the evil and the good, and sends rain on the just and the unjust.


Yet he didn't leave himself without witness, in that he did good and gave you rains from the sky and fruitful seasons, filling our hearts with food and gladness.*
