I will incline my ear to a proverb. I will open my riddle on the harp.


I will open my mouth in a parable. I will utter dark sayings of old,


The talmidim came, and said to him, *Why do you speak to them in parables?*


He spoke to them many things in parables, saying, *Behold, a farmer went out to sow.


It happened, when Yeshua had finished saying these things, that the multitudes were astonished at his teaching,


He arose from there and came into the borders of Yehudah and beyond the Yarden. Multitudes came together to him again. As he usually did, he was again teaching them.


He began to speak to them in parables. *A man planted a vineyard, put a hedge around it, dug a pit for the winepress, built a tower, rented it out to a farmer, and went into another country.


In his teaching he said to them, *Beware of the scribes, who like to walk in long robes, and to get greetings in the marketplaces,


He summoned them, and said to them in parables, *How can Hasatan cast out Hasatan?


He said to them, *To you is given the mystery of the Kingdom of God, but to those who are outside, all things are done in parables,


*Listen! Behold, the farmer went out to sow,


The Kohen Gadol therefore asked Yeshua about his talmidim, and about his teaching.
