He takes the wise in their own craftiness; the counsel of the cunning is carried headlong.


The ox knows his owner, and the donkey his master's crib; but Yisra'el doesn't know, my people don't consider.


His watchmen are blind, they are all without knowledge; they are all mute dogs, they can't bark; dreaming, lying down, loving to slumber.


My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge. Because you have rejected knowledge, I will also reject you, that you may be no Kohen to me. Because you have forgotten your God's law, I will also forget your children.


Leave them alone. They are blind guides of the blind. If the blind guide the blind, both will fall into a pit.*


An evil and adulterous generation seeks after a sign, and there will be no sign given to it, except the sign of the prophet Yonah.* He left them, and departed.
