The LORD God formed man from the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul.
Adam knew his wife again. She gave birth to a son, and named him Shet, *for God has appointed me another child instead of Hevel, for Kayin killed him.*
There was also born a son to Shet, and he named him Enosh. Then men began to call on the LORD's name.
