They traveled from the mountains of `Avarimen, and encamped in the plains of Mo'av by the Yarden at Yericho.
and the border went out westward at Mikhmetat on the north; and the border turned about eastward to Ta'anat-Shiloh, and passed along it on the east of Yano`ach;
that the waters which came down from above stood, and rose up in one heap, a great way off, at Adam, the city that is beside Tzaretan; and those that went down toward the sea of the `Aravah, even the Salt Sea, were wholly cut off: and the people passed over right against Yericho.
Now Yericho was tightly shut up because of the children of Yisra'el: none went out, and none came in.
